Proposal:
For my final thesis, I plan to photograph runners. The idea stems from my own passion for the sport and desire to one day run a marathon. I have always found Philip-Lorca diCorcia's photographs of passers-by to be compelling. His Heads series is the inspiration for this work. I plan to shoot with a zoom lens so that I can capture my subjects from a distance without their awareness. My hope is to capture the essence and the expression of runners and to reveal the diversity and quirky nature of individuals within the running community.
